The new technologies facilitate the emergence of teleworking

The use of videoconferencing or sharing documents online is now a reality in most workplaces. In fact, new technologies led to the redefinition of the workspace.

With the evolution of new technologies, the exchange of information has never been so fast and efficient. The new media have been integrated and implemented and are now indispensable in the work market. Access the network inside and outside the company, be together through a video conference, share documents with multiple people and talk in real time are a day-to-day constant and companies that do not make use of information technology are becoming rare.

It was precisely the evolution of new technologies that led to the redefinition of the workspace. It is now possible to send a work via email that by regular mail would arrive late. Faced with this possibility and reality, distances were cancelled and work easily became teleworking.

Telework is a form of work that can be performed remotely and independently, by using information tools that ensure direct contact between the teleworker and the employer. It can be carried out from home or any place where the teleworker is located. Telework redesigned the structures of traditional, centralized organizations and shorted the geographic distances. It is accessible to a variety of professional areas, such as administrative, accounting, graphic design, programming, translation, web design, among others.

This is a scenario where the work meets the needs of the employee, by giving it great flexibility. This is an alternative way of working that may not be available to everyone. So anyone thinking of doing telework should consider consciously and rationally. As there are advantages there are also disadvantages. For example, there may be some difficulties in separating work life from personal life, there is the risk of social isolation and one may lack methodology.

Teleworking advantages:

– Welfare increased;

– Increased availability for the family;

– Less expenses;

– Control of work pace;

– Management of time.
